This video shows
relevance to my content area in that it gives a great explanation and provides
a lot of useful information about matter and phase changes. Matter is a topic many eighth-grade science classes
are currently covering. This video
provides humor as well as visual examples and explanations of the subject
material to help keep students engaged. The
video also does an excellent job of relating the subject material to real life
situations which will help students understand the relevance of what they are
learning. Teachers should check out this
resource since students will enjoy the video and learn as well. As a teacher I believe it is important to
keep students engaged by using multimedia in teaching and in lessons.

I can honestly say this is a great video to show students after covering a lesson about matter so that it can reiterate what they learned but also, they can see it in another form. With the humor and explanations to further explain, this is a great way for the students to stay engaged. I always enjoyed watching Bill Nye the Science Guy and Brain Pop videos in science. Sometimes we were given a quiz to answer questions during the videos to show we were watching.
