Chemical Changes: Crash Course Kids #19.2- Resource Blog 2
This video is an excellent resource for content area teachers to check out. This video explains chemical changes in a way that is easy for studentsto understand. The video incorporates
real life scenarios where chemical changes occur. I particularly liked the example using the
cake since baking a cake is something everyone is familiar with. This video is great because now as a future science teacher I feel more knowledgeable about this subject and will therefore
be better able to teach the material. This video is also great because it gives students who are struggling readers another platform to learn and better understand the material being covered in
class. Overall, I feel that it is important to incorporate multimedia materials when teaching to help students of different learning styles and reading levels. word count: 131

Hey Marin,
ReplyDeleteStruggling readers would benefit from the plainer language used in the video, especially if they were having trouble understanding vocabulary words, but the video presenter does a nice job of keeping the science the focal point even with the plainer language. It also provides relevant context that will help the students understand the science term and their differences. I think you found a great video to explain differences in physical and chemical changes.
